Pedro Rodriguez
1970 Sebring 12-hours

Pedro Rodriguez drove like a madman on the track, but in the pits he was usually quiet and reserved. Here he is all alone in the Gulf pits moments before his Porsche 917 came in. One of the great things about Sebring in those days was the dramatic lighting and the opportunity to get shots like this. Generally, all of us would follow the Triangle Films crew around because they were the only ones allowed to use auxiliary lighting and we would piggyback on their lights. However, I would also make a point of going off where no one else was and that is how I got this shot.
